"The Best Pico Bonito Lodge & Hotel Experience"

Wenn ich 6 Punkte geben könnte… Eine der schönsten Unterkünfte, in der ich jemals war! In wunderschöner Natur und etwas oberhalb des Flusses gelegen. Die Villa und die Zimmer sind wunderschön und laden zum Entspannen ein. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut und abends wurde uns ein hervorragendes Abendessen serviert. Wir waren traurig, dass wir uns nach nur zwei Nächten verabschieden mussten. Ein traumhafter Ort!

Gorgeous Villa in a spectacular setting This is an ideal place for a relaxing getaway, with tons of options for upgrading to the more adventurous activities available in the area. The owners are extremely accomodating and while they say there isn't technically a restaurant, the quality of the meals is excellent and the food is delicious. The location feels very remote, but is within a few minutes walking distance of the Centro de Visitantes Pico Bonito hiking trails to the west and a bar and restaurant to the east - though you may not feel the need to go that far. The villa is open air but immaculately clean and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. John and Soledad go out of their way to ensure you have a pleasant stay, including shuttle service from La Ceiba (and a moto-delivery of forgotten items on the way to the airport). We will definitely be back!

Serenity in paradise Combine that with wonderful hosts that embody attentiveness, delectible food, and comfort, and you have Villa de Soledad. Soledad herself pepares the meals with her home grown amazing spices, do not miss out on her passion fruit juice. I'll miss that one the most. Johnny himself, the main gardener, harvested the pepper spice that morning. John, our host, was a font of knowledge. Not only of the must see views and adventures nearby, but also ás a wise historian ready to share the most exciting stories. Their entire staff is family and their dedication to maintaining this stunning property shows. We're thankful for the care, luxury, and attention they provided during our stay, but most importantly for sharing their garden of eden with us.

A beautiful hacienda with wonderful hosts on a rushing river Our room was very clean, comfortable with a porch and hammock facing the lush tropical gardens and rain forest. There is a “great room” open to the surrounding jungle with a 40 foot ceiling. Because we stayed for three nights, John picked us up at the ferry dock and brought us back to the bus station with no charge, about a 20 minute drive. Our fantastic breakfast was included, and although there is not a restaurant, Soledad cooked us equally fantastic dinners for a very reasonable cost. We walked a short distance to the swinging bridge to the Pico Bonito national park, and hiked the beautiful loop trail there. We walked a short distance the other way to go rafting from that spot on the Rio Cangrejal with Mosquitio tours, a super fun and exciting time on a gorgeous river. There were a few biting bugs but they were manageable with repellant. We loved the peace of the river sound and the vibe of the hotel.

Beautiful week in the rainforest We have spent a week at Villa Soledad and had a wonderful time with the family that runs the property. The grounds are meticulously kept and the landscape is beautiful, full with tropical trees, flowers and orchids. Simply from the hammocks on the property we were able to observe hummingbirds and toucans. The location is great for hiking in the National Park or for other activities. Beautiful lodging facilities, clean as a whistle and delicious breakfasts. We've had an amazing week and look forward at returning!

Epic Jungle Adventure We spent 5 nights at this wonderful location. Our hosts were so amazing taking care of all of our needs. On top of serving so many amazing meals they offered laundry service and took care of our every need. John's local knowledge and relationships in the community opened amazing opportunities for us to do activities like rafting, hiking, snorkeling, and more. All of his recommendations were spot on. Definitely will stay here again.

Weekend trip to Honduras Our stay with John, Soledad and the family was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we arrived in Honduras we knew we were in great hands! John was so accommodating to our needs after a very stressful experience through immigration. His depth of knowledge of Honduras and Central America was captivating and we loved hearing his stories. We felt so at home at the villa - it is a slice of rainforest paradise. Hammocks, coffee on tap, amazing wildlife and beautiful views. Soledad prepared a delicious breakfast and evening meal, and John helped create a bespoke itinerary for our stay suitable for our family. Nothing ever seemed to be an issue or too big an ask. Amazing! What a gem of a hotel! Located in the center of Pico Bonito Park, this hotel was our home base for our visit to Pico Bonito. The hotel itself was very beautiful, clean, comfortable, and just minutes away from Rio Bonito and the El Bejuco Falls trial head. What made our stay here extra special though was just how kind and welcoming the hosts John and Soledad were. John is a natural people person and went out of his way to accommodate us during our stay. And Soledad is an incredible cook and would prepare a large breakfast spread for us every morning including a large platter of fruits and homemade juices. Also, for an extra charge Soledad can prepare lunch or supper for you and the only regret we had during our entire stay was not getting supper prepared every night because wow, can Soledad ever cook!

Absolute Gem! Our stay at Villa de Soledad was nothing short of incredible. The location was absolutely stunning and the hotel itself is beautiful, very clean, and comfortable. John and Soledad were both extremely kind and helpful to us when it came to recommending experiences/restaurants, and they helped to make our stay wonderful from start to finish. Soledad is an incredible cook and made us some of the best meals we had throughout our entire trip in Honduras. John is so personable and kind and my partner and I both really enjoyed our chats with him. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, we would go back in a heartbeat!
